VETiNSTANT, an animal healthcare tech startup incubated at IIT Madras, has developed 'ExamD', a non-invasive, handheld IoT device designed for pet parents to monitor their pets' vital signs at home. The device measures parameters such as temperature, heart rate, and SpO2, facilitating early detection of health issues. Integrated with the VETiNSTANT mobile app, it enables seamless sharing of health data with veterinarians for timely diagnosis and intervention.

How it works

ExamD is a user-friendly, handheld device that allows pet owners to measure their pets' vital signs without causing discomfort. The device captures data on temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation levels, which is then synced to the VETiNSTANT mobile app. Through the app, pet parents can share this information with their veterinarians, ensuring prompt and accurate medical advice. The device has been tested on over 1,000 dogs, demonstrating a mean temperature variation of +/- 0.3°C, comparable to human forehead thermometers.
